This week in Monday I helped the class set up their stores and helped sell the items the kids made. Tuesday was Valentine's Day so I set up the ice cream bar and helped pass out treats. Also helped Mrs Spriet print papers and also do copies. Wednesday I stayed in the classroom and watched half the class who were unable to get library books and I helped them do homework and I read them a book will Mrs.Spriet was with the other half of class in library. I also helped them make informational booklets about Helen Keller. Thursday I had to basically run the class because there was a substitute and the kids were only listening to me. I helped the kids make timelines about Helen Keller's life. Mrs. Spriet was not there Friday to take a selfie.
This week I only went to Masonic Heights on Monday and Thursday because I was sick and on Friday we had a pep rally so this week was short. I helped the kids design and set up there stores. This includes coming up with slogans and commercials for the product which they made at home. I also helped the kids stay focused when they read a book. AT the end of the day I make sure everyone's agenda is completed and correct, then I dismiss the kids to get there belongings from their locker and walk them outside.
This week I made sure the children stay focused and read a book about music. The next day I read a test to a few children who were absent the day they took the test. This is interesting because they try to get me to give them answers but then I have to explain that I can’t. Then I helped the children with the end of the day activities since they had a substitute and the kids were out of sorts. Then later in the week the kids were learning about money and I organized a memory game teaching them about change. This week I helped the kids sort images into three different categories including human resources, natural resources and capital resources. Then I helped the kids make a compare and contrast chart on two books they read by the same author. I also make sure the complete their agenda correctly everyday.
17. The rule that sticks out the most is Number 2” pointing is not allowed”. I did not really think this is fair because when you're going to give somebody directions it's just more convenient to point with one finger . You have multiple finger on your hand so if you're pointing in a general area, it could be different directions. I understand you should not pointing at people with one finger but when giving directions it should be fine and it shouldn't cost you your job. This week was short there is only three days on Wednesday I read test to the kids and help them out and then I hope the kids do a project on knowing the difference between wants and needs. Thursday I helped the kids set up notebooks for writing paragraphs. Friday the kids read a book and I helped them complete a project about the book and then helped the kids get ready to leave and go home. I also make sure the kids stay on task every day.
Journal 15 On February 17th there was four minutes and nineteen seconds left in James McElwain an autistic senior’s last basketball game and James was given the chance to play in his first and only basketball game. After several misses, his teammates knew what to do and he ended up making 20 points and winning the game. The video of this inspirational event went viral and he started meeting many famous people and being recognized. James got many fan letters but one stood out and said that he gave their three year old little boy hope. I had a dream to work with kids and now I'm working with special need kids and second graders and I will be going to school to become a special needs teacher. This week I helped out alot because two of the days Mrs.Spriet was not there so I helped the substitute teachers a lot and it was interesting to see how different the children act when their teacher isn't there. In a way i felt like I kinda ran the class because the substitute was unsure how things ran.The kids started a new project about jellyfish so I helped them make their own jellyfish using plastic bowls, glue, markers and tissue paper, It was very messy and lengthy process so Mrs.Spriet put me in charge of that. I also helped with writing stories about their favorite part of the winter season. One of the most important thing I help out with is keeping
Writing prompt 14 If I won the powerball jackpot I would buy a jeep wrangler and put a lot of money in the bank for future bills and college debt and I would also book a lot of vacations because I love to travel. I would give back and donate money to the homeless and also children with illnesses. I'm very appreciative of my parents and all that they do for me so i would help the buy a new house. Yes I would still work because I would get very bored not doing something everyday and could be making more money but I would definitely lower my hours down so I could go travel. This past week I helped the second graders with math tests, action verb projects, reading about habitats, New Year's projects, write their agendas and I also helped Mrs.Spriet grade papers and get the children ready to leave at the end of the day.

This week was my first week working with Mrs.Spriet’s second grade class and they were all excited I was there to help. Monday was a snow day so they didn't have school but on Tuesday I helped the second graders write stories using action verbs and also helped with their spelling. Then The class was learning about habitats and I helped them do research about their individual habitat. On Wednesday I researched different assignments and projects the second graders could do in the future. Thursday and Friday I helped the class complete an Elf application paper and also help with why they would make a great elf stories. Also at the end of the day I go over and make sure their agenda is filled out properly. One of the biggest problems teenagers face is procrastination. Yes I agree I do struggle with procrastination. Most of the time people including myself procrastinate when they don't want to do something or if it doesn't benefit them. For example I was drawn to go hang up my clothes but I didn't really want to I wanted to sit and watch a movie so after an hour getting yelled that I decided OK I'm gonna get up and do it but on the way I stopped in the kitchen and I got something to drink and then I went and took a shower and then I went to my room and played on my phone then I after 3 hours passed I finally put clothes away. A way to solve this problem/ fight it would be to task as soon as it is brought upon, instead of waiting hours or days. |
