This was my last week at my internship at L’anse Creuse middle school south, I've learned so much. I was blessed that the kids welcomed me and treated me like I was actually their teacher. Mr.McDonald showed me so much like how to take attendance, enter grades in gradebook, give reading test, and more but ultimately make learning fun!!! I also want to thank Mrs.Candela for the amazing opportunity.

In My evaluation Mr.McDonald ranked me a 5 in everything. But I truly believe that there is multiple questions that I could have gotten a lower rank on. I honestly think I'm very well at maintaining a positive and professional attitude when interacting with the students. One thing I think I need improvement on is being reliable and dependable because there is some days where I forgot I had appointments or things where I couldn't make it to class so I had to email him and let him know I wasn't going to make it. Overall I honestly think Mr. McDonald has loved having me in the class and I also loved to see how a 7th grade classroom runs.
This week on Monday I did a reading lesson with the kids. Then I asked them questions about the story to see if the kids were actually paying attention while reading. On Tuesday I uploaded grades into powerschool. I also quizzed the kids on there social studies vocabulary. Thursday I helped the kids writes sentences with vocab words and also categorize the words. Friday the class did popcorn reading which I participated in and I also took attendance.
I decided to get oreos for the kids because they always come to class hungry and they ask Mr. McDonald for Oreos so I got them some.
This week was a very short week I only went to my internship on Thursday due to being sick, having days of school and Good Friday. Thursday I was told that I will be doing Monday's lesson and so I was lesson planning. I also played a game with the kids which was a fun mind game, it made you think very hard. I also learned about how middle schoolers have different M-Step test they all have to do. I'm very excited to see what happens next week.
This week I did reading with the kids then read questions to them while they answered them . The next day I did reading test with all the kids and I graphed their literacy. I also helped the kids with science packets which I really had to think because I forgot a lot of science since it was so long ago. As weeks increase I am being to get to know the kids in the two classes and they are starting to get to know me. I had a short week because they had a half day.
This week was so informative and I learned a lot. I learned how to take attendance, enter in grades in PowerSchool, work the magic whiteboard, grade papers, help kids complete science homework and help kids redo tests. This experience already has been amazing. I have also learned how to react to the children's moods, depending and how their day is going because of them being considered special needs. Working with special needs middle schoolers is totally different than working with elementary school children and makes me so on decisive on what I want to do when I get older.
I got a good evaluation,Some things I did excellent in are interacting with the students, work initiative and having a professional attitude but I need to improve on a few things including being dependable, cooperating by maintaining by maintaining a flexible and positive attitude toward members/colleagues in difficult situations, verbally communicating, documenting task, complete work at the best of my ability, and use logical reasoning to analyze data and make decisions. After reviewing my evaluation I realized that I have done a great job at Masonic job shadowing but I need to take more responsibility to make assignments for the class.
